Catawba Cinematic Events aims to capture any live event with exceptional quality. Just a few years ago, it was impossible to produce Television quality event videos without breaking the bank. In 2023, with cutting edge filmmaking technology, CCE's director Derek Allen aims to pave the way in top-notch, low-budget live video coverage.

From 2015 to 2017, Derek trained on the job directly under AVGear Israel's founder, Veikko Nuoraho, filming large scale live television and web-streaming events with large companies such as ICEJ and GOD TV. Derek and his team now use mirrorless cameras, wireless microphones, gimbals and drones to capture live events with consistent quality while remaining unobtrusive to the energy in the room.

We have filmed corporate, music and church events in the Carolinas for clients such as The Wellbeing Summit, Wayfound, Girls on the Run, Global Collaborative Congress on Osseointegration, and Freedom House Church. Below you can see some highlight videos we have produced along with some we have shot and handed off to the client for editing.

CCE captured the Wellbeing Summit by focusing on interviews and candid B roll shots. We aimed to showcase meaningful interactions and insights, ensuring that the summit's impact on national wellbeing challenges resonates with a broader audience.

The Global Collaborative Conference on Osseointegration

CCE captured the event by filming key presentations, panel discussions, and interactive sessions, ensuring a comprehensive view of the event. Candid shots of networking moments, participant interactions, and behind-the-scenes activities highlight the collaborative spirit of the conference.

Before Operational Stress

CCE captured the Before Operational Stress (BOS) Charlotte event by documenting presentations led by mental health experts for public safety personnel and first responders. We focused on candid shots of participants in interactive sessions and conducted on-site interviews to gather personal stories about managing operational stress. The footage was edited into highlight reels that showcase the program's impact, making it accessible to broader audiences interested in supporting mental health in first responders.

Growing Our Girls

CCE captured a speaking event for GOG featuring Michelle Icard, author of “14 Talks by Age Fourteen”. CCE produced a long-form video of the entire talk as well as multiple short-form clips for social media.

The Exchange

CCE captured candid interactions at a 2019 rooftop Exchange meetup in Uptown Charlotte. The final highlight video showcases the event's value for enhancing real estate knowledge and connections.

Kubota

CCE captured a community engagement event at a high school in Tennessee sponsored by Kubota which featured Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) as well as NASCAR driver Ross Chastain. CCE delivered a highlight video that captured the fun of the day.
